FASHION TIPS : The secrets of making ANY outfit look expensive

When it comes to prints, opt for a bold graphic design — stripes or Aztec patterns in contrasting colours will easily pass as designer.

Switch the cheap belt that comes with trousers or a dress with a quality option.

Never wear too many colours at once — instead, choose a bold statement shade like red or green and then pair with cream or grey for an elegant edge.

Simple details can instantly make an outfit look more modern. Team your sweater with an embellished shirt, letting the collar and cuffs peep out.

Items like this Breton top and leather skirt will never date.

Layering different textures will look sophisticated. There are plenty of soft layers on the High Street that will look just as luxurious as cashmere.

Health Tips : 5 simple Changes To Improve Your Health

Improving your health doesn't have to involve drastic, overnight changes. Little changes in your life can make a big difference. They can also lead to more healthy changes as you start to notice a difference in the way you feel.

Trying to make too many changes at once can sabotage your efforts and cause you to give up too quickly. Start with these simple changes and see how you feel after a couple of weeks.

1. Replace Sugary Drinks With Water -  You don't have to drink plan water anymore. If you are drinking soda for the bubbly carbonation, you can always use a Sodastream to make carbonated  water. You can add a little fruit juice to make a low calorie drink that is actually good for you.
You can also infuse plain water with strawberries, mint or cucumbers by thinly slicing the fruit or veggies and letting them sit in the water for 5 to 10 minutes.

2. Exercise During Commercial Breaks - If the last thing on your mind when you get home is working out, try to break it up. When you are watching TV, the commercial breaks are usually around 3 minutes long. Try running in place, doing some sit-up, push-ups, bicep or triceps curls. Do a different workout during each commercial break. The more you workout, the more energized you will feel.

3. Replace Butter and Mayo With Avocado Avocado is loaded with healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. Just 1/4 of an avocado has 5% of your recommend value of omega-3 and 8% of your recommend value of omega-6. Try replacing the butter on your toast or the mayo on your sandwich with healthy avocado.

4. Swap Your Usual Breakfast For a Green Smoothie - Green smoothies are great for people that have time for breakfast and for people on the go. You can make them the night before and store them in the refrigerator if you don't have time in the morning.
I lost 5 pounds just by replacing my "healthy" breakfast with a green smoothie. I have thousands of recipe ideas you can try: http://www.incrediblesmoothies.com/green-smoothie-recipes/

5. Replace Microwavable Meals With Crock Pot Meals - If you are eating a microwavable meal, it's because you don't have time to cook something. Whether it's at work or at home, time is usually an issue. Instead of zapping that unhealthy meal that is loaded with sodium and processed, unhealthy ingredients, try getting out the crock pot and slow cooking a large batch of meals to have throughout the coming week.

You can make a large batch and freeze individual portion sizes for easy, convenient meals. If you are worried about leaving the crock pot on during the day, you can cook your meals overnight or on the weekend when you are home.

You don't have to make several changes at once, but making a few changes every couple of weeks will make a big difference in the long run.

Cheers!

People are freaking out over these unretouched pics of Beyonce

Uretouched photos from Beyoncé's 2013 L'Oreal ad campaign surfaced online yesterday and people are freaking out over the pics. I guess they expect her to be perfect. *sigh*. The photos were posted online on Beyonceworld.com but when the Beyhive descended on the website for posting the unfaltering photos, they removed it and issued a statement. It's that serious.

 The statement issued by Beyonceworld.com
"Due to the disdain of the BeyHive, we have removed the photos. We don't want to cause any drama, nor do we wish to start fan wars. Some of the things we have seen posted were just horrible, and we don't want any parts of it. We were just posting the photos to share the fact that our queen is naturally beautiful, at the same time she is just a regular woman.

Smoothies On The Fly - A Faster Way To Make Smoothies

Time is a factor when it comes to making healthy choices.  Even blending up a fresh green smoothie every day might feel daunting if your morning schedule is already stretched thin.

But one thing you can do to save time and still make a fresh green smoothie every day is to use frozen fruit.

The benefits of frozen fruit is that you don't have to wash, peel and chop.  Simply dump some frozen fruit into your blender, add the greens and blend.  And there's less cleanup, too (no seeds and peels to discard, or fruit juice to wipe up).

If your blender isn't a top-of-the-line machine, try using a high-quality frozen fruit puree. Since it's already pureed, it will blend up easier in a lower-wattage blender than frozen solid fruit chunks.

To super-streamline your green smoothie making routine, buy pre-washed organic greens so that all you have to do is reach into the bag and pull out a handful (or two!) of pre-washed, leafy goodness.

I regularly buy pre-washed organic kale, spinach and mixed greens because they are convenient, and the tubs they come in make great storage containers for the greens I buy at farmers markets.

Don't skip your daily green smoothie.  Instead, find ways to make your blending more efficient so that you can fit it into your already hectic life.  It's worth it!
Cheers!

The 10 Best Foods for Your Abs

1. Avocados
These little green guys are nutrition goldmines! They contain lots of the “good” fats—i.e. monosaturated fats—which fill you up, but don’t get stored as fat. This means you’ll feel full for longer, without gaining weight (whoot whoot!). Plus, one 2014 study from Nutrition journal found that people who ate half an avocado for lunch were more full until dinner than those who didn’t. Avocado toast, anyone?!

2. Black Pepper
Adding half a teaspoon of pepper to your meals can truly help you slim down. That’s because pepper contains a compound called piperine that helps fight the formation of new fat cells. Plus, other studies suggest that eating spicy foods in general may boost our metabolism, so your body will fight fat more quickly over time.

3. Apples
Not only does one a day keep the doctor away, it also keeps the pounds at bay, according to an October 2014 study published in the journal Food Chemistry. That’s because apples have non-digestible compounds—fiber and polyphenols—that promote the growth of good bacteria in your gut that may help you slim down. Aim for one apple per day (or two or three if you’re feeling ambitious!). Just be sure to eat them raw—cooking them destroys the polyphenols.

4. Almonds
These tasty nuts are great for your abs, as long as you snack on them in moderation. That’s because they’re filled with fiber and healthy fats, which is a great combo for curbing your snacking throughout the day. Stick with one shotglass per serving, plus a piece of fruit to get you closer to that “full” feeling, and you won’t overdo it.

5. Blueberries, Raspberries and Strawberries
Not only are berried jam-packed with antioxidants, they’re also loaded with fiber, which keeps you full for longer. Plus, they’re a healthy carbohydrate, which means that your body doesn’t turn the carbs into sugar and, thus, fat—it uses them for energy. Blueberries in particular have even been found to help break down abdominal fat.

6. White Fish like Tilapia and Cod
These white fish are packed with protein, which takes the most work for your body to break down compared to other macronutrients, fats, and carbs, meaning you won’t be as a hungry as quickly. As a result, protein helps your body curb cravings, so you’re less likely to take in unnecessary calories.

7. Green Veggies like Broccoli and Asparagus
You know they’re good for you—and your waistline—but why? All the fiber takes longer for your gastric juices to break down, plus it acts like a barrier that prevents sugars from entering your blood stream too quickly, which can lead to insulin resistance and belly fat accumulation.

8. String cheese
Holy cow (get it?)! Increasing your consumption of dairy foods and protein while you’re trying to slim down helps you lose weight and gain lean muscle mass, according to a 2011 Journal of Nutrition study. The reason is rooted in two key ingredients in dairy: whey and calcium. Whey contains a lot of leucine, an amino acid which stimulates the formation of new muscle proteins. And as for weight loss, it’s all about the calcium. It helps excrete fat in the intestine rather than absorbing it, meaning you’ll absorb less fat overall.

9. Pine Nuts
Sure, these babies are delicious sprinkled on hummus and in salad—but, they’re also a major hunger suppressant. 2006 research presented at the Experimental Biology convention found that having half a teaspoon of pine nut oil, which is about a handful of actual pine nuts, may help you ward off your need to feed for at least four hours because they boost appetite suppressors up to 60%.

10. Salmon
The delicious fish contains tons of monounsaturated fats, which can help you slim down. Why? Healthy fat keeps you full for longer. A study published in the journal Cell Metabolism found that your body converts unsaturated fats into a compound that curbs your hunger. Just be sure to get the wild kind, not the farm-raised kind, because the farm fish are full of antibiotics and other chemicals, which could harm your health in the long run.
