Tuesday, the 9th of May 2013 - A burial ceremony for the late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo is currently in
progress at his ancestral home in
Mbooni.
The burial is taking place even as developments in the investigation of
what caused his death are increasingly pointing to the possibility that he was
poisoned.
However leaders like Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Deputy President William Ruto who
spoke at his requiem mass at the Nairobi Baptist Church yesterday urged Kenyans to stop speculating about what caused
the late Senator’s death until
investigations are completed.
Among the others who attended
the requiem mass are former President Mwai Kibaki and Senators and
MPs from across the political divide.
So far its known that Mutula is survived by seven children but a woman (Eunice Ntenya) yesterday got court orders
compelling Mutula’s family to facilitate DNA tests to proves whether or
not her seven year old son was sired
by the late Senator.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend the burial before he leaves the country for an
official visit to South
Africa .
